5 Fun Party Games For Direct Sales That Will Boost Your Business

If you are in the direct sales business, the money is only in the parties you host. You want your hostess and her guests to have as much fun as possible, but at the same time you need to educate them about your products and get them interested. You may also want to plant the idea of one of them becoming a consultant. Party games allow you to accomplish all of this while providing entertainment for your guests. Here are a few of our favorite games. Try them out and watch your business grow.

1) Bingo

This game is an all-time favorite and an easy way to introduce a variety of products to the group.

Create some bingo cards by drawing a 4 x 4 grid on a sheet of paper. Write "Free" in the center square. Then write the names of your products in random order on the remaining boxes on each bingo card and create a set of cards with only one of the products on each card. You will then use this set of cards to draw the bingo "numbers". You may want to have a sample of each of the products with you to show and talk about when the product is drawn during the bingo game. As with regular bingo, the first person to check off a set of products wins a prize.

2) Game to get to know each other

This game is a good icebreaker, especially if most of the guests do not know each other. It can also give you clues as to who might be a potential prospect.

Hand out a bag of M&Ms. Ask everyone to take as many as they want. Quickly ask them to count the number of candies in their hand. Then everyone stands up and tells as many things about themselves and their family as they have M&Ms. Of course, no one is allowed to eat their M&Ms until it has been their turn.

3) How well do you know your hostess?

Give each of your guests a piece of paper and have them number it from 1 to 10. Then ask them to answer the following questions.

1) What is the hostess's favorite color?

2) If she could have any vehicle, what would it be?

3) How many children does she have?

4) What is her favorite hobby?

5) Who is her favorite actor?

6) What is her favorite animal?

7) What is her favorite show TV?

8) What is her favorite food?

9) What is her favorite smell or scent?

10) If you needed something, would your hostess give it to you if she could?

After everyone has written down their answers (including the hostess), read the questions back to the hostess and have her tell you her answers. The other guests mark on their slips of paper whether they answered correctly or incorrectly. The person with the most correct answers wins a small prize or a discount on their purchase.

You can change and rearrange the questions as you wish, but leave the last question. It's a good lead-in to mention that the hostess gets free products if she buys a certain amount and/or books her own parties.

4) Left-Right Game

This game is a great way to start a party before you begin your presentation. Hand out one or two small gifts. Tell your guests that you are going to read them a story and that they should pass the gift to the person on their right when they hear the word "right" and to the person on their left when you mention "left." The person holding the gift at the end of the story gets to keep it.

Here is the story:

I left my house and was on my way to the house of (insert name of hostess). But I soon discovered that I had forgotten my directions at home, right next to the phone! I knew immediately that I needed the right directions to the house of (insert hostess name), so I turned left and left and right and made my way back to my house to find the right directions. Sure enough, there they were, right where I had left them, right next to the phone.

I was finally on the right track. I arrived on time and set up my (insert name of company) presentation right over here. They all came and sat down. I am going to get right to work telling you about (insert name of company). I hope I am not going to leave anything out. In a moment, I am going to tell you about our new line of (insert your type of product). If you went home tonight with the intention of buying gifts, you will find that we have the right gift for everyone. Think of the upcoming birthdays and holidays, we do not want to leave anyone out. I will be happy to help you find the right gift for someone special.

(Insert name of company) has a (insert number of days) -day return policy. When you receive your merchandise, please check it immediately. If anything is wrong, please call me immediately and you can be sure I will take care of it.
